Tedeschi Trucks Band wrapped up their North American spring tour leg with a stint in the Northwest over Memorial Day weekend, and the group welcomed several guests in Seattle and Salem, OR.
The collaborations started Friday evening, when TTB closed out their two-night run at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre with another two-set “Evening With” affair. The first guest of the night came out near the end of set one, when guitarist Ian Moore joined the group for a cover of Allen Toussaint’s “Get Out of My Life, Woman.” Later in the evening, Susan Tedeschi introduced drummer Matt Cameron—of both Pearl Jam as well as Soundgarden, two band of Seattle alt-grunge royalty—who sat in for a cover of the Allman Brothers Band classic “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”
On Saturday evening in Salem, Tedeschi Trucks moved to the L.B. Day Amphitheater and continued their collaborations with members of opening act Los Lobos. Guitarist David Hidalgo and saxophonist Steve Berlin were both featured throughout the night, as they were in California earlier in the week. Hidalgo came out for a cover of Derek and the Dominoes’ “Anyday” and the Allman Brothers’ “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’.”
Check out both setlists below, along with fan-shot footage of Cameron’s sit in via Chris from Jam Buzz on YouTube (Tedeschi introduces the drummer around the 4:28 mark). Next up for Tedeschi Trucks Band is a five-show run in Japan before they return home to Florida to kick off a summer tour leg in late June. See the band’s full schedule here.
