Mike Mills and Chuck Leavell will join forces this summer to lead a genre-bending tribute to their home state’s musical heritage at Carnegie Hall. In the storied Stern Auditorium on July 25, the R.E.M. guitarist and the Allman Brothers Band and Rolling Stones keyboardist will join with classical violinist (and Mills’ childhood friend) Robert McDuffie for A Night of Georgia Music, featuring accompaniment from the Orchestra of St. Luke’s conducted by Ward Stare. The one-night-only presentation will survey iconic songs from Georgia across genres and eras, including tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, R.E.M., Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Outkast, The B-52s and more.
Tickets for A Night of Georgia Music at Carnegie Hall are available through an artist pre-sale now with code ANOGM. A general on-sale will follow on Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. Find more information at carnegiehall.org.
