Chuck Leavell has confirmed a special one-off show. On June 6, the longtime Rolling Stones keyboardist and former member of The Allman Brothers Band will perform with Randall Bramblett Band featuring Nick Johnson in Roswell, GA as part of the Live at From the Earth Brewing Company’s Back Porch Concert Series.
The musicians are all prominent players on the Southeast rock and jamband circuits and also have long, intertwined histories. Bramblett played in Leavell’s storied Sea Level project and has sat in with Widespread Panic numerous times. Leavell has also augmented Panic on occasion throughout their rise and Johnson, a steady member of the Randall Bramblett Band, is currently subbing for Jimmy Herring in the group while he undergoes treatment for cancer. (Of note, Leavell and Herring were members of the Allman Brothers decades apart.) The evening promises music from “each artist’s catalog–originals as well as familiar songs from bands they have played with.” Ansley & The Hold will provide support duties.
Widespread Panic will conclude their three-night run in Las Vegas this evening.
