Guitarist Jake Cinninger played in the progressive jazz/fusion/experimental Indiana band Ali Baba’s Tahini from 1997-2000. Though the group disbanded shortly before Cinninger joined Umphrey’s McGee in September of 2000, the members of Ali Baba’s Tahini have come together on occasion over the past ten years.

On July 13, Ali Baba’s Tahini will release its fourth album, Living Room. The follow-up to 2005’s Rockstars and Lawnmowers features material written by Cinninger and bassist Karl Engelmann. The musicians will also perform select release shows this September

Ali Baba’s Tahini will support its new release with the following shows:

September 16 Chicago, IL—Martyrs (with the Macpodz)
September 17 Kalamazoo, MI—Papa Pete’s (with the Macpodz)
September 18 Bloomington, IN—The Bluebird
