Bruce Hornsby will play the first week of the new NBC program The Jay Leno Show. The piano player will appear on Leno’s new program September 17 with his longstanding band The Noisemakers, as well as special guest Eric Clapton. The group will perform “Space is the Place,” a track from Hornsby’s new album Levitate. Clapton also appears on the studio version of the song, though he recorded the track a number of years ago while working on Hornsby’s 2004 album Halcyon Days.
