Jeff Bujak is not only an amazing one man show, but he is one the Taradan Band and Breakfast’s (my and my husband Dan’s house) favorite houseguests. If you ever have Bujak in your house be prepared for him to oust you as Mayor of your own home on Foursquare, barely hear him coming in at 6am (he is as quiet as a mouse), practice hardcore moves in your hard and to eat anything delicious you cook for him in the morning…well afternoon. Dan and I love him so much that I created a breakfast bar just for him called the BujBerry Breakfast Bar. It is hearty, healthy and delicious. Just like Jeff Bujak’s music this bar gets you raging, gets you going, gets you dancing, gets your hands up in the air and it’s crunchy…and those words came from Bujak himself.
BujBerry Breakfast Bar
Ingredients:
4 cups of rolled oats
2 free range eggs beaten
2 tbsp sweetener (maple syrup, agave nectar, honey)
2 very ripe bananas peeled
½ cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
Oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
In a mixing bowl in this order add rolled oats, eggs, sweetener, bananas and blueberries
With your jazz hands (because Bujak loves jazz hands) get into the bowl and smush, and mix and squeeze until the oats are evenly covered in all the ingredients
Coat a baking pan with oil
Shape the oat mixture into 9 bars
Dance with them on the way to the oven
Place them in the oven for 20 minutes
While they are baking wake up any sleeping Bujaks that happen to be sleeping at your house
After 20 minutes they are done!
Eat them with the now awake Bujak and enjoy
These are fabulous for musicians to take with them on the road as well as to bring to festivals.
