Atlanta-based quartet The Stews have just released a new single, with more music expected to follow in the near future. The dynamic quartet recently delivered a notable set at Louisville, KY’s Bourbon & Beyond and will appear at the Georgia Theatre in Athens this Thursday.
“Used To” was produced by Collective Soul founding member Will Turpin at his Real 2 Reel Studios. As the band says of the spirited tune, “Everyone goes through change. Whether it be a change in relationship, moving to a new place, losing touch with old friends or making new ones, change makes you question (or even struggle to recognize) your old self, even while you find it difficult to let old habits go.” We hope “Used To” gives people a sense of inspiration as they’re going through change, in whatever way they may need it.”
The Stews feature Preston Hall (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Blake Dobbs (Guitar), Bennett Baugus (Bass) and Wyatt Griffith (Drums, Vocals). They released their self-titled EP in 2021, which featured “Make It Out,” a tune that appeared on the Netflix series, Outer Banks. The group then followed this up with 2022’s debut full-length, What Was and 2024’s follow-up, Chicken Fight.
“Used To” is available everywhere via No Coincidence Records and appears beneath the group’s upcoming dates.
