Dave Matthews Band has unveiled the openers for this year’s residency at George, Wash.’s Gorge Amphitheatre. This year, the jam pioneers will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first Labor Day weekend residency at the iconic outdoor venue with an all-star supporting cast.
Dave Matthews and his tried and true ensemble will set off their return to The Gorge on Friday, Sept. 9, by hosting opening sets from country-rock singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson, Jr. and soft-rock and R&B family band Infinity Song. On Saturday, indie-Americana duo Watchhouse will set the stage with rising roots-rock singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen. Come Sunday, the Grammy-nominated socially potent folk singer-songwriter Jesse Welles will grace the stage after an earlier set from mandolin master Sierra Hull, who previously collaborated with Matthews during 2025’s Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Riviera Maya destination event.
Anticipation for DMB’s return to The Gorge was amplified at the end of January with the announcement of Take Me Back Live from the Gorge, a new live album cut during the band’s 2025 residency and available on digital streaming platforms now. Before making their way back to the Northeast, the group will work through a 32-stop summer tour, beginning with a May 8 show at The Woodlands, Texas’ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
