Last night, Lady Gaga took to the stage during U2’s performance at The Sphere in Las Vegas, delivering a powerful rendition of “Shallow,” from the film A Star Is Born. The pop sensation was assisted by Bono who added his extensive and harmonious vocals to the parts originally sung by Bradley Cooper.
Lady Gaga’s recent appearance with U2 follows her Rolling Stones sit-in at the Racket Club in New York City just last week. During the gathering, a surprise album release party, they belted out “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” from the Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds.
The live rendition of “Shallow” wasn’t Lady Gaga’s first encounter with U2 – back in 2015, she made an unexpected appearance during their Innocence + Experience Tour. Lady Gaga joined during their stop at Madison Square Garden to perform “Ordinary Love” with U2.
“Shallow” was co-authored by Lady Gaga with Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Anthony Rossomando, and was co-produced alongside Benjamin Rice. Notably, Lady Gaga and Cooper graced the Oscars stage in 2019, where their rendition clinched the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
U2 introduced The Sphere in Las Vegas back in September, and since its launch, they’ve been gracing the innovative venue with regular performances, making it a must-visit spot.
