Tonight, the Jewish community in New York and worldwide will rally around the uniting power of music for a night of healing and mutual aid in the form of a livestream at the Relix Studio in New York City. The event, presented by Friday Night Jams and Because Jewish, will be shared for free tonight, Oct. 24, starting at 8 p.m. ET.

The livestream will be guided by spiritual leaders Yuli Ya’el Be’eri, a High Holiday musician and prayer leader, and High Holidays Musical Director Jeremiah Lockwood.

“Coming on the heels of the most violent attacks on Israelis in our generation and the escalation of the conflict into a war with mass civilian casualties, we invite you to a musical gathering to give voice to our community’s feelings of pain, confusion and longing–and to direct these emotions towards mutual aid that can bring some glimmer of light into the world,” Be’eri wrote in a letter to the Because Jewish community.

Featured musical guests include Emily Bènami, Tamar Eisenman, Cantor Rachel Weston, Reb Brenner and others. The evening of prayer and song hopes to harness the Jewish community’s anxiety and fear to fundraise for Soroka Hospital in the south of Israel, a front-line site of response to the crisis.

Tune into FANS.live at 8 p.m. here.
