On November 10, Jeff Mattson, Rob Barraco, Dave Diamond, Tom Circosta, Klyph Black, and Jennifer Markard will reunite to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Zen Tricksters. They will return to their former stomping grounds on Long Island, and perform a headlining gig at Port Washington, NY’s Landmark on Main Theater.
According to a press release, for over four decades the band has melded “lifetimes of music appreciation into psychedelic originality spanning the universes of jazz, the Grateful Dead, and beyond conjuring the new and inventive.”
After their tenure in the Zen Tricksters, Mattson and Barraco joined Dark Star Orchestra, which has gained its own renown in the life music scene. Mattson also established a longstanding collaboration with Donna Jean Godchaux.
