Last night at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, the original RatDog Trio of Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman and Jay Lane performed a gig as Scaring the Children. The first portion of the set focused on acoustic material, with versions of ‘Easy to Slip,’ ‘Fever,’ ‘Friend of the Devil,’ ‘Victim or the Crime’ and ‘When I Paint My Masterpiece.’ The trio then went electric for the final portion of their set, which included an appearance by Gabby La La on ‘Dear Prudence’ as well as a guest turn by Kenny Brooks on the ‘Eyes of the World’ encore. Opening the show was Lane’s Band of Brotherz project. As for Weir, reports continue to swirl about a club appearance by the Dead next week in Manhattan, so stay tuned to Jambands.com for any information as it become available.
