Keyboardist John Medeski will take the stage with the Screaming Headless Torsos tonight at Tribeca Rock Club in New York City. The band will be celebrating the 40th birthday of singer Dean Bowman. Tonights line-up will feature Bowman, guitarist Dave Fiuczynski, bassist Fima Ephron, percussionist Daniel Sadownick, drummer Tobias Ralph and guest vocalist Lian Amber.
While the Torsos rarely tour these days, many of the musicians appear on Fiuczynskis 2002 release, Black Cherry Acid Lab and 2003s Kif.
Medeski and Fiuczynski have collaborated in the past, including on the 1994 album, Lunar Crush.
