Drummer Adam Deitch took the stage with Garaj Mahal Saturday night at Tobacco Road in New York City. Deitch (John Scofield Band, Lettuce) stepped in for Cosmic Elevator, which segued into 7-Up as Garaj drummer Alan Hertz joined in for a dual drum attack. There was also an appearance by Govinda Flute Girl Meyer, who sat in for Gulam Sabri earlier in the set. Keyboardist Dan Nimmer (Fareed Haque Group) played the entire show, filling in for Eric Levy who had a family commitment.
