The members of the Brazilian Girls have canceled their upcoming Northeast appearances. The band was scheduled to perform at New York’s Governors Island on October 2 and Boston’s House of Blues on October 6. A note from the band reads, “This is really sad for us to announce, but the shows in NY and in Boston, Oct 2nd and 6th had to be canceled, due to immigration issues.” Singer Sabina Sciubba has been living abroad since giving birth after the group’s last national tour. The band is still scheduled to appear at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival on October 17 and Los Angeles’ Avalon on October 19.
