Stuart Bogie and Buck McDaniel have confirmed the details for their annual November Variations residency. The free “deep listening” series will take place at New York’s Church of Our Saviour from November 16-20, offering a week of improvised music that melds influences from the French organ tradition, ambient soundscape world and New York’s improvisational experimental scene. Bogie, who will focus on clarinet in this setting, and organist McDaniel will play the acoustically pristine, historic church at 6pm each night.
This is the third year Bogie and McDaniel have performed together in the Midtown Manhattan space. In 2024, they offered meditative morning sets while last year they moved the series to its current 6pm spot.
RSVPs are requested and tickets are available for those able to support the concert series. For more on the intention behind the unique stand, be sure to read our 2025 interview with the Bogie.
