Pink Talking Fish have confirmed their Halloween theme. The ensemble, who traditionally weave together a mix of material from Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish, will offer one set of their classic cover combos and one set of “whatever the f*ck we want” when they play Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on October 31. The group explains, “We’ve been wanting to do this for awhile now and have been waiting for the right time. We LOVE Burlington VT and this felt like the perfect spot. We are so psyched to break the mold, pick some of our favorite awesome music and crush it for you!”
The ensemble is also soliciting cover suggestions on their Facebook page, and the quartet encourages fans to offer their ideas. Dobb’s Dead will round out the Halloween night with an opening set.
Pink Talking Fish recently served as the house band for the 100th birthday celebration for Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre. The musicians offered a slew of material from the numerous famed acts who have graced the theater’s stage over the years, welcoming moe.’s Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico, Umphrey McGee’s Brendan Bayliss, Goose’s Cotter Ellis, Andy Frasco, Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein, Karina Rykman and many others throughout the night.
Pink Talking Fish will perform at Santa Rosa, CA’s The Junction Beer Garden this evening.
