LaMP have announced the addition of five fall 2025 tour dates to their list of summer dates, which cover both the East and West Coasts. The group will begin touring in July and continue through October, performing new music from their recent album, One Of Us, which arrived in March via the Royal Potato Family label as well as selections from their 2020 debut.
LaMP’s summer tour will begin on July 5-6 at Quincy, Calif.’s High Sierra Music Festival, where they’ll lead a Playshop titled LaMP’s Groove Lab, featuring special guests like Jennifer Hartswick, Natalie Cressman, Scott Pemberton and more. From there, the trio will cover the East Coast festival circuit, including shows at New York’s Rocks Off Cruise on July 10, Johnstown, Pa.’s Flood City Music Festival on July 26, Check, Va.’s FloydFest on July 24-25, Marshfield, Mass.’s Levitate Backyard on August 30 and Lake George, N.Y.’s Adirondack Independence Music Festival on Aug. 31.
The combo will begin their new fall tour dates with a Sept. 17 engagement at Asheville, N.C.’s Third Room. From there, they’ll head to Raleigh, N.C.’s Lincoln Theatre on Sept. 18, Richmond Va.’s Richmond Music Hall on Sept. 19, and Annapolis, Md.’s Annapolis Baygrass Festival on Sept. 20. After a month away, LaMP will finish off its 2025 live itinerary so far at Denver, Colo. ‘s Cervantes’ Other Side on Oct. 20-21.
LaMP are the instrumental supergroup of drummer Russ Lawton, guitarist Scott Metzger and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski. The trio formed in 2018, with JRAD’s Metzger joining the established chemistry of Lawton and Paczkowski, who had earned acclaim both as Soule Monde and members of the Trey Anastasio Band. Improvisation is integral to the group’s shapeshifting sound, with each player adding their unique signature to the collective style on and offstage. Their close communication has only deepened 2020’s LaMP, and continues to flourish on the genre-bending tracks of their latest project.
“The biggest difference is that LaMP is our baby,” Lawton shared in a recent Relix feature, comparing the trio to his prior work. “It’s a partnership between the three of us. We bring in all our ideas and turn them into songs.”
“We’re like one mind, rhythmically,” Paczkowski said of his longstanding relationship with Lawton. “I often know where he’s headed and can make musical choices accordingly—in the moment, on the spot.”
“I think it suits my personality well,” Metzger said of joining an existing project. “I like it when there’s a foundation that’s already set, musically, and I don’t have to be in control. Then I can come in and add something to it as opposed to building it up from nothing. Both things are great, but I really enjoy coming in and being the new guy.”
The artist pre-sale for LaMP’s new tour begins at 12 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 25. General on-sale starts at 12 p.m. local on Friday, June 27. For tickets and more information, visit ilikelamp.
