Ringo Starr has announced a run of September and October dates. Starr, who will turn 86 tomorrow, will once again hit the road with his All-Starr Band, which currently includes Toto guitarist/singer Steve Lukather, Men at Work frontman Colin Hay, Kansas multi-instrumentalist Warren Ham, Average White Band guitarist/bassist Hamish Stuart, David Lee Roth drummer Gregg Bissonette and Aerosmith associate Buck Johnson on keyboards.

The run will open at Easton, PA’s State Theatre on September 24 and come to a close at Albany, NY’s Palace Theatre on October 7. Of note, on October 1, Starr will return to Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium. These will be Starr’s first appearances at the famed venue since The Beatles performed two iconic shows there in 1964.

“We just finished a spring tour which ended at the Greek,” Starr while announcing the run. “It was all so great—the audiences were so loving, and I just love playing with this band. I’m really looking forward to these fall shows. See you in September—Peace and love, Ringo.”

Starr released his third country album, Long Long Road, in April. It was produced by T Bone Burnett and features appearances by Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent and Sarah Jarosz. For more on Starr’s recent country turn, read our recent cover story with the former Beatle.
