Moonalice have shared, “Me and My Family,” a heartfelt and inspiring new single. On their first studio release since the 2024 Cool Cats EP, the genre-bending Bay Area-based psych-rock outfit focus on the bond the band has formed through the years and how strong personal connections can help to weather troubling times. The track is available on all streaming services now.
With resounding lead vocals from Erika Tietjen of the T Sisters, “Me and My Family” winds past hardships and anxiety to life’s silver linings through gratitude for the love we give and receive from others. An infectious blend of rock and soul shows the band’s sustained musical development and exemplifies the diverse, cooperative sonic perspectives of its 10 members. The release was accompanied by a live on-stage music video that further underscores the group’s synergy.
“Me and My Family” heralds the outset of Moonalice’s summer tour dates, beginning with a highly anticipated set at Bottle Rock Napa Valley Music Festival on Sunday, May 25. The band will continue on the road with six dates in July, culminating at Petaluma Music Festival on July 26. In September, the ensemble will connect again for two performances at Laytonville, Calif.’s Hog Farm Celebration on Sept. 19 and 20.
