On Dec. 18, Kris Myers, drummer for the jam collective Umphrey’s McGee, will bring together an impressive group of musicians for an annual charity event benefiting David’s Den. The gathering has been dubbed Slayrider and will occur at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.

Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman will act as the event host during the forthcoming holiday affair, which will see the house band featuring Myers alongside Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), Kevin Scott (Wednesday Night Titans), Felix Pastorious, Wes Baily (Moon Taxi) and Ty Bailie.

Slayride will also include an impressive list of guest artists, such as Marcus King, Jeff Coffin, Rashawn Ross, Trevor Terndrup, Bills Evans, Jennifer Hartswick, Corey Frye, Petar Janjic, Emmanuel Enchem, Mike Seal, Elliot Blaufuss, Eric Struthers, Emily Wrestler and Sarah Gibson.

Moreover, the event will benefit the 501 C non-profit David’s Den, a Nashville, Tenn., location dedicated to providing members of the music and creative community with a safe space to receive support, guidance and friendship when facing mental health difficulties.
