Phoebe Bridgers has shared her latest single, “Sidelines,” which she penned for the upcoming Hulu series Conversations with Friends, set to premiere on the streaming service on May 15.
Producers for the show–based on Sally Rooney’s 2017 novel of the same name–asked Bridgers to write the song after discovering she is a fan of Rooney’s writing. The track was inspired by the story and was co-written by frequent collaborators of Bridgers, Marshall Vore and Ruby Rain Henley. Additionally, Bridgers shared in a press release that this is the only song she plans to release in 2022.
Last month, Bridgers added even more dates to her goliath Reunion Tour in support of her acclaimed 2020 album Punisher, which will finally reach audiences live across North America and the U.K. and Europe for the first time. Added dates include shows in Brooklyn, Glasgow, Manchester and Vancouver. Find the full list of tour dates below.
