Newport Folk Festival is still slowly unveiling the lineup for its 67th annual presentation with its rolling additions, and today, the festival introduced the artists set to perform on its most intimate stages. The 2026 Newport Folk Festival’s Foundation and Bike Stage lineups include 16 emerging talents confirmed for the beloved proving ground, including Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, Hudson Freeman, Madi Diaz, comedian Jordan Klepper, Belle Blue, Case Oats, Taylor Hollingsworth and Lily Fitts.
The Foundation stage is a tent that centers on music education and community outreach, including student showcases where young artists who’ve learned from the Newport Festivals Foundation have the chance to share their talents with the festival audience. It’s also frequently the site of special guest appearances from high-billed performers like Newport Folk Steward Nathaniel Rateliff, who last year joined local high school students for an impromptu collaboration. Developed in collaboration with Illiterate Light in 2022, The Bike Stage has become a beloved custom of the festival since, giving guests the chance to charge the equipment for close-quarters performances on a pedal-powered stage. Unforgettable artists who took the small stage in recent years include Joan Baez, Cameron Winter, Britti, Evangeline, Linqua Franqa, Bridget Kearney and Alisa Amador.
