Last night the Disco Biscuits performed the first evening of their New Year’s run – making them one of the few bands to play a live show moving into 2022. The performance took place at The Fillmore in Philadelphia and started a bit late so that all the fans could get tested.

The Disco Biscuits opened with “Caves of the East” with samples of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’s (another Philly institution) opening theme song. They then moved into “Rock Candy” which teased “Lunar Pursuit” into “Astronaut” > “Cyclone” and closed the set “Rock Candy.”

The second set started and closed with “Confrontation” in between the bookends sat “Tribulations” > “Tractorbeam” > “Orch Theme” into an inverted rendition of “Svenghali.” The band encored with “We Like to Party.”

The Disco Biscuits issued a statement saying tonight’s show will start on time to make sure the NYE event can go off on time and fans should show up early for testing.
The show was streamed on Couchtour.tv a platform founded by The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig. Tonight’s show will be streamed as well starting at 9:00 p.m. EST.
