Starting Dec. 24, Phish Radio (SiriusXM Channel 29) will air a special ‘The Year in Phish’ broadcast, celebrating the Vermont jamband’s unique offerings, despite the ups-and-downs of 2020.
“In the midst of an incredibly challenging year, Phish managed to keep fans engaged at every turn, with a surprise studio album, weekly archival streams, radio specials, The Beacon Jams and more,” reads an official announcement. “With so much to talk about, we’re inviting a handful of very special guests from the Phish community to help us recap ‘The Year in Phish.’”
Guest hosts include nurse-turned-Phish song subject Heather McDougal, Relix Editor/Long May They Run host Dean Budnick, JamBase’s Scotty Bernstein and Andy Kahn, bassist Karina Rykman alongside her 3 From The 7 co-host/Relix Associate Editor Raffaela Kenny-Cincotta and more.
‘The Year in Phish’ will premiere Thursday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. PT.
There will also be encore airings on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
