Percussionist Jason Hann of The String Cheese Incident/EOTO has used some of his time off the road to create a video cover of Radiohead’s “Pyramid Song.”

“All this social distancing has had me log more hours in the studio than usual – finishing other projects, learning, practicing, etc.,” Hann explains.

Apparently, in the midst of some late-night “Spotifying,” Hann was moved by “Pyramid Song,” a cut off Radiohead’s Amnesiac which “felt relevant to things going on – empty Los Angeles freeways, friends self quarantining with their families or by themselves, grocery stores letting 10 people in at a time…”

In other SCI-related news the band recently announced a free “Friday Night Cheese” livestream every week via nugs.tv.

Watch/listen to “Pyramid Song” and read Hann’s full message below.

“All this social distancing has had me log more hours in the studio than usual – finishing other projects, learning, practicing, etc.

It’s weird to not have to be planning for tour. If we kept our EOTO tour, we would be on day 6. And even when it’s home time between tours, I’m always thinking about promotion, merch, or tech stuff for the next tour or event…or doing sessions at home.

So, I’m up super late night the other night, Spotifying a bunch of Radiohead songs, and “Pyramid Song” took me on a different journey that felt relevant to things going on – empty Los Angeles freeways, friends self quarantining with their families or by themselves, grocery stores letting 10 people in at a time, some people wearing Mad Max distopian [sic] outfits in line, Walking Dead with an awesome and proper Michonne exit:)

Anywho…I did this thing and had a blast learning some video stuff along the way. Hope you enjoy.” – Jason Hann
