David Crosby & Friends will open three shows for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit during their summer tour. The shows will be Jun. 4 in Vienna, Va. at the Wolf Trap, followed by two nights at Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on Jun. 5 and 6.

This collaboration is not a surprise. In December of 2019, David Crosby teased a studio collaboration with Jason Isbell (as well as Amanda Shires). “Lucky me… I’m goin to sing with Jason and Amanda,” wrote Crosby on Twitter. Isbell posted a photo of the two of them on social media, writing, “Brought a ringer to the studio to sing.” In a later tweet, Crosby also revealed that he’ll be sharing the stage with Isbell once again “this summer in NYC and DC.”

In other news, Isbell and the 400 Unit announced a new album Reunions (due out May 15) and released a new single “Be Afraid.”
