On the eve of its 40th anniversary, Talking Heads have announced a pair of special screenings of Stop Making Sense in New York and Los Angeles. Set for early June, these momentous events will show the band’s core four of David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison reunited to answer questions and divulge their experiences following presentations of A24’s recent 4k restoration of its massively influential concert film.

The first of these appearances will occur on June 4 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Pantages Theatre, the stage where the Stop Making Sense concerts were originally held in December 1983. The projection will be followed by a Q&A with the band moderated by Fred Armisen, in which the members will answer inquiries from both Armisen and the audience. Angelino indie rocker Blondshell will also take the stage to perform her treatment of “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel,” which figured into Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, A24’s companion compilation to the film’s re-release.

The band will move to New York on June 13 for a follow-up presentation at Kings Theatre. For this second sit-down at Brooklyn’s historic movie palace, Questlove will host the Q&A. Power-pop quartet The Linda Lindas will will cap off the festivities, offering a performance of its treatment of “Found a Job” from Everyone’s Getting Involved, which is due for release on May 8 alongside contributions from Lorde, BADBADNOTGOOD, Chicano Batman Feat. Money Mark, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, Teezo Touchdown, The National, Toro y Moi and more.

Presale tickets for the screenings in New York and Los Angeles are available now; general on-sale for both engagements will begin this Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m. local time.
