After jamming with the likes of Marcus King and Jerry Joseph, Widespread Panic’s ninth Panic En La Playa event continued on Sunday night, with the Athens, Ga. band taking fans through a number of rocking tunes, including their first “For What It’s Worth” since 2018.

Highlights from the first frame included a “Makes Sense To Me” opener and a sauntering mid-set cover of “Pusherman” before the band snapped back into “Second Skin” and “B of D,” before closing with “Let’s Get The Show On The Road” and their first “Coconut” since last year’s Panic En La Playa event.

A massive “Holden Oversoul” segment kicked off set two as the band segued in and out of the Grateful Dead’s “Cream Puff War,” marking the first time they’ve split “Holden Oversoul” since 10/27/18.

Later, the band hit their stride with a five-part “Surprise Valley”> “Drums”> “Surprise Valley”> “Ride Me High”> “North” jam to end the half.

The aforementioned “For What It’s Worth” cover (LTP: 12/31/18) stood alone, before Panic ended the show with their 11th ever take on Tom Petty’s “Honey Bee.”
