“The story of The Band was a beautiful thing,” Robbie Robertson says at the beginning of the trailer for Once We Were Brothers. “It was so beautiful it went up in flames.”
Drawing inspiration from Robertson’s bestselling memoir Testimony, Once We Were Brothers was produced by Martin Scorsese, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard; it chronicles the story of The Band and Robertson, from playing backup for Bob Dylan through their Last Waltz.
Guests include Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and more, as well as footage of late band members like Levon Helm.
Once We Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson & The Band will drop on Feb. 21 in select theaters.

January 17, 2020 at 3:48 pmOnly went up in flames because Robertson lit the match. Rest In Peace Richard Levon and Rick while Scorsese and Robbie capitalize one last (hopefully) time.

January 17, 2020 at 3:15 pmRobertson saw the history one way, Levon saw it very differently. And they started out years before backing Ronnie Hawkins long before Dylan and had released stuff under the name Levon and the Hawks .
