Mumford & Sons headlined the final day of Texas’ Austin City Limits on Sunday evening, and the British folk-rockers surprised fans with a guest appearance from iconic Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich to close out their set.

Before that collaboration, the group also welcomed out the marching band from nearby Austin High to help out on “The Cave” from their debut album, 2009’s Sigh No More. Several songs later, frontman Marcus Mumford announced a guest from “a little band called Metallica” as Ulrich took his spot behind the drum set and the band launched into “The Wolf” from 2015’s Wilder Mind.
