Dead & Company continued their spring tour dates on Friday evening with the first of two performances at Chicago’s Wrigley Field this weekend (drummer Mickey Hart donned a Cubs jersey to mark the occasion), and the band kept the live debuts coming with the first Dead & Co. rendition of “To Lay Me Down.”

The show kicked off with “The Other One” and “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo” before the group launched into “To Lay Me Down,” which saw guitarist John Mayer move to the pedal-steel guitar to give the tune a shimmer. Last night’s two-set performance also featured staples from the Grateful Dead catalog like “Brown-Eyed Women,” “Jack Straw,” “China Cat Sunflower,” “I Know You Rider,” “Althea,” “St. Stephen” and the second set closer, “Not Fade Away,” plus an encore cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”

Check out the full setlist below, along with fan-shot video of “To Lay Me Down” and pro-shot footage of the set openers. Dead & Company return to Wrigley Field tonight for round two.
