After announcing less than a week ago that they would be headlining this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (replacing The Rolling Stones after their cancelation), Fleetwood Mac have been forced to cancel their appearance at the iconic Crescent City gathering due to vocalist Stevie Nicks’ illness.

The band has also postponed several upcoming North American tour dates in Canada for the same reason. In separate statements, both Fleetwood Mac and Mick Fleetwood note that Nicks has been battling the flu and needs to take time off the road on doctors’ orders.

“We are having more fun than ever on this current tour, but as we all know, touring life comes with its challenges,” Fleetwood’s statement says (via Consequence of Sound). “The flu has sidelined Stevie for a couple of weeks but she is on the mend and we look forward to getting back out on the road. We so apologize to the fans, but we are working on rescheduling.”

The band plans to reschedule the Canadian shows for the fall, though the Jazz Fest date is fully canceled. Stay tuned for further information on replacements for the May 2 headliner in New Orleans.
