Dave Matthews Band kicked off their month-long European tour on Wednesday night, opening with a rowdy version of fan favorite “Don’t Drink the Water” and eventually digging into 2005 Stand Up track “Dreamgirl” for the first time since 2016.

After the aforementioned “DDTW” opener, the band seemed happy to be in Germany, touching on “Stand Up” before offering up newer material like “Do You Remember” off 2018’s Come Tomorrow. From there, the band played four back-to-back favorites from “Seven” to “Crash Into Me” to “Can’t Stop” to their beloved version of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer.”

Matthews then gave his bandmates a quick break, and played Come Tomorrow ballad “Here On Out” solo. The rest of the DMB family reemerged for another hit “#41,” and continued on with their final Come Tomorrow cut of the evening “Tha Girl Is You” before making their way through “Louisana Bayou,” “Mercy” and “Satellite.”

The evening’s biggest bust-out came with “Dreamgirl,” a mid-2000’s era tune off DMB’s Stand Up record. The last time fans heard the tune from DMB was May 13, 2016, however, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds played the song in March of 2017 in their duo format.

Later, DMB closed their single set with a pairing of Before These Crowded Streets selections – “Pantala Naga Pampa” and “Rapunzel” – before encoring with “You And Me” and a crowd-pleasing take on “Ants Marching.”
