A new two-track vinyl laces Billy Strings and Full Cord’s bluegrass gravitas. The imminent pairing is denoted by the acronym FCBS, a title that further underscores the welded sound they’re preparing to present. As a preview, a 16-second clip has been shared, which demonstrates the full-bodied nature of their exchange. Pre-sale for the 7” vinyl is ongoing, with an estimated arrival slated for the week after the Ionia Freak Fair.

On the vinyl landing page, FCBS is described as a “striking” two-song collection that accentuates Strings’ deft might, meticulously driving incantations of timeless tales dancing over an expressive line of fast fingerwork. “Hubris Came to Town” serves as the set’s opening number and provides a sharp and rebellious edge ahead of the phantasmagoric “How a Muse Gets By,” which floats like a cloud, pregnant with raindrops that tickle poetic beads that inspire late-night wonder.

Pressed on a limited 45, the tracks bolster the vitality of musical kinship, which propels each member to stride onto new ground and leave a definite mark. Notably, the vinyl is estimated to ship in the first week of September, following the Ionia Freak Fair, which is scheduled for August 28 and 29, 2026, at the Ionia Fairgrounds in Ionia, Mich. Both Strings and Full Cord are represented in the event’s artist lineup.

The set will be available for purchase at the Ionia Freak Fair beginning Friday, August 28, 2026.
