Phish concluded its Sphere residency on Saturday evening. The ninth and final installment of The Vermont quartet’s extended stay at Sin City’s screen-laden dome realized the group’s commitment to single-use songs, a no-repeat wrangle of two-set performances split over three weekends and totaling 161 pieces.

Saturday’s show brought Phish’s total number of Sphere concerts to 13, building off their initial four-night model in April 2024, and continuing a legacy steeped in equal parts improvisation, prowess, impishness, and precision. As in nights past, the screens lit up to reveal the exposed wooden facade of The Barn, which served as the initial setting for the ensemble’s final performance. “Farmhouse” represented Saturday’s opener and found Trey Anastasio on acoustic guitar.

The group presented “Undermine” in the evening’s second slot before unearthing “Ocelot” ahead of honeycomb visuals presented along with “Back on the Train.” Their ensuing take on “Ether Edge” used the repurposed egg, worm, and flight pipeline, along with significant improvisation, to lengthen the piece to 14 minutes. Next, Jon Fishman drove “Llama” into a sequence with an early-to-mid ‘90s timestamp: “The Horse,” “Silent in the Morning,” “Taste,” and the set-ending “Julius.”

The latter half and final installment of Phish’s spring 2026 residency began with a keytar-enabled Page McConnell rendering Edgar Winter’s beloved instrumental “Frankenstein.” “Kill Devil Falls” then preceded the crash of “Ruby Waves.” For the band’s “Meatstick” voyage, the screens revealed a flight of hot dogs, as this soaring imagery paired perfectly with the experience.

“My Friend, My Friend” was scrubbed of its “myfe” ending, instead merging into “A Life Beyond The Dream” before a standalone “Character Zero.” As a tried and true residency capstone, “Wading in the Velvet Sea” was complemented by an overflow of concert photos of the band and their fans, embodying the heart of the Phish experience. “Fluffhead” took the residency’s final slot, representing the concert coda.

With their nine-night Sphere residency in the books, Phish will put a pin in live performance until the onset of Summer Tour. Before then, Anastasio will kick off an independent run beginning on May 26 at Portland, Ore.’s Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Tickets and additional information are available at phish.com/tours
