On Sunday, May 3, St. Vincent joined the Dave Matthews Band during their appearance at the Riverbeat Music Festival in Memphis. The collaboration sprawled a two-song selection, beginning with Before These Crowded Streets’ “Spoon,” and the first cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House” after a 45 concert lapse and last performed during the 39th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Oct. 19, 2024.

Before welcoming St. Vincent, DMB started their concert with the fan-adored “Ants Marching,” before merging “So Much to Say” into “Anyone Seen the Bridge” and “Too Much.” “Crash into Me” included a “Dixie Chicken” interpolation ahead of the Everyday features “I Did It” and “The Space Between.” The band continued their regulatory run-through of original material on “Madman’s Eyes” and “What Would You Say,” before leaving a solo Matthews to present “Kill the Preacher.”

“Why I Am” separated Dave’s solo delivery from St. Vincent’s arrival. The songstress showed up after her own festival set and assisted her hosts with their “Spoon” before a run-through of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down The House.” After the guest’s appearance, the band returned to form, performing “#41,” “Shake Me Like A Monkey,” and “Don’t Drink The Water.”
