Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have added a special performance to their 2019 schedule, as the band will head down to New Orleans during this year’s Jazz & Heritage Festival to play the Saenger Theatre with special guests Foundation of Funk.
The concert, which marks the sixth annual “Second Weekend at the Saenger,” will take place May 3, the second Friday of Jazz Fest, and will feature a Foundation of Funk lineup comprising The Meters’ rhythm section—bassist George Porter Jr. and drummer Zigaboo Modeliste—plus Dumpstaphunk bandmates Ivan Neville and Tony Hall, and guitarist Anders Osborne. Other special guests are expected as well.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. CT via Live Nation and at the Saenger’s box office.
