Grammy-winner Jack White will receive yet another honor from The Recording Academy during Grammy week next year, as the musician will be recognized by The Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing during its celebration on February 8.

The honor, which “will highlight White’s accomplishments and ongoing support for the art and craft of recorded music,” puts White in the company of T Bone Burnett, Quincy jones, Rick Rubin, Neil Young and more who have been recognized in the past.

“For years, we’ve marveled at Jack White’s prodigious musicianship and have revered him as a guitar-playing mastermind, but we think it’s important to recognize his significant contributions ‘behind the glass’ as well,” Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow says. “There seems to be no limit to Jack’s pioneering creativity and unbridled passion, and it’s those qualities that embody the spirit of all of our Producers & Engineers Wing members.”

White has won 12 Grammys in his career, including his first two in 2003 for The White Stripes’ Elephant and more recently for his curation of the box sets The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records in 2014 and 2015. The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 12 and will be aired on CBS.
