The Felice Brothers, Elvis Perkins and Dearland, Shivaree’s Ambrosia Parsley, The New Pornographers’ A.C Newman, Diamond Doves, Elegant Too and many other musicians will participate in a tribute to Levon Helm not far from The Band drummer’s hometown. Organized by Diamond Doves, A Celebration of The Life and Legacy of Levon Helm will take place at Hudson, NY’s Club Helsinki on June 7. Members of Felice Brothers and Diamond Doves will also participate in a Levon Helm tribute at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on June 4. Meanwhile, Jon Fishman, Guster’s Ryan Miller, Stephen Kellogg, Barefoot Truth’s Will Evans and many others will salute Helm during the Hug Your Farmer benefit at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground this evening.
