Cypress Hill has canceled its appearance at Summer Camp. De La Soul has been confirmed as the band’s replacement. A message posted on the festival’s homepages says, “We are extremely sad to announce that Cypress Hill has officially canceled their scheduled performance at Summer Camp 2011 Music Festival. We have been given no official reason and are as disappointed as our fans that they have unilaterally canceled this date. But, we are also happy to announce that we have secured De La Soul as their replacement on the bill. Although we realize this will not appease all Cypress Hill fans, we are extremely excited to have this groundbreaking group as a part of our festival.” Summer Camp will return to Illinois from May 27-29 featuring moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic, STS9, Bassnectar, Huey Lewis and The rUMors, The Avett Brothers, Girl Talk and Yonder Mountain String Band, among many others.
