On Saturday night BLVD will take the stage at The Independent in San Francisco. The electro-rock trio was formed in the Bay Area in 2003 but this will be BLVD’s first show in the region since MC Souleye (a latter-day addition to the band) left the group last year. Souleye departed following a successful tour of Australia to tend to Alanis Morissette, who gave birth to his child on Christmas Day. BLVD had recorded an album with him, Return To Center, which needed to be shelved, since he is no longer a member of the group. However, BLVD expects to pick up the momentum with its original trio over the course of 2011.
