A number of musicians will play benefit concerts throughout New York for the victims of the recent tragedies in Haiti in the coming days.

On Tuesday, January 20, Groove Collective will anchor a benefit show for Haiti Action and Hands Together at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge. In addition to the Grammy nominated group, DJ Logic, Bernie Worrell, Dr. Lonnie Smith Trio and other special guests will perform..

This Wednesday, January 20, Robert Randolph & the Family Band will headline a benefit show at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross’ Haiti Fund & Yele Haiti and numerous special guests are expected. The show will also coincide with the 10th anniversary for the NYC-Freaks List—the Yahoo! Group that helped launched Randolph to fame.

New York’s City Winery has scheduled four nights of benefit concerts to help raise $100, 000 to fund a mobile hospital aid mission. 100% of funds raised from these benefits will be directed to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and an emergency mobile hospital aid mission organized by the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center. The benefit show taking place this Wednesday, January 20 will feature Patti Smith, The Swell Season, John Wesley Harding, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Yo La Tengo, Young People’s Choir of New York City, Joshua Bell and other special guests, while this Thursday’s benefit will bring together Lewis Black, Willie Nile, Vernon Reid & Corey Glover of Living Colour, Rich Pagano & The Sugarcane Cups and Marshall Crenshaw. Likewise, on Sunday, January 24, Rosanne Cash, Madeleine Peyroux, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tambou Combo and BETTY will perform benefit shows at City Winery, and on Monday, January 25, “Indie artists” Vienna Teng, Amber Rubarth, Ari Hest, Alex Berger and Nate Campany will appear at the venue.

Also, on Wednesday, January 27, Brooklyn, NY’s Bell House host a benefit for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti . 100% of the proceeds will be split between Save the Children and Partners in Health. The evening will feature appearances by Jimmy Fallon, New York State Senator Diane Savino, Cold War Kids, Ted Leo, Eugene Mirman, The Wrens, Sondre Lerche, Todd Barry, Pat Kiernan of NY 1, Here We Go Magic, The Wahoo Skiffle Crazies and The Seekers (a special band featuring AC Newman of New Pornographers with Rhett Miller of Old 97s and Nicole Atkins). Early birds can come for free food courtesy of Great Jones Cafe, Dub Pies and more. A special two hour edition of Keyboard Karaoke will also be hosted by Sara Schaefer and Joe McGinty from 11 PM-1 AM.
