Last night the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic performed the third of their twenty co-billed shows. The Meadowbrook US Cellular Pavilion in Gilford , NH was the locale for this date, which saw Widespread Panic open the night with a thirteen song set that included strong takes on “Holden Oversoul,” “ Second Skin” and a passage from “Driving Song” into “You Got Yours” and then “Disco” before a return to “Driving Song.” The Brothers followed, and as with the preceding gigs, invited members of Panic to join them on stage during their set. First Jimmy Herring stepped out during “Who’s Been Talkin’” and later JoJo Hermann added keys to a version of “Smokestack Lightning” that appeared in the midst of “Mountain Jam.”

The two groups will travel to Bethel, New York for a show at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on Wednesday.
