The Tedeschi Trucks Band has returned to the road for the fall leg of the Future Soul Tour. The group was in Nashville over the weekend. There the TTB performed a pair of dates at The Truth, a new venue which officially opened earlier this month.

Friday’s show featured two notable guests taking the stage with the 12-piece. The opening set offered a blend of originals and covers, starting out with a take on “Got My Mojo Workin’.” The group then played “Crazy Cryin’,” which was one of three selections from 20206’s Future Soul. Other covers included The Wood Brothers’ “Smoke Ring Halo,” a pairing of Sly & The Family Stone’s You Can Make It If You Try” and “Everyday People” and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s “Ohio.” The set closed with an Isaac Eady and Kebbi Williams’ drum and saxophone jam that led into TTB fan-favorite “Let Me Get By.”

The second set began with a version of Traffic’s “Empty Pages” which the band debuted last month at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. Then, following a few originals, the first guest of the night appeared. Dave Rawlings emerged on guitar for a version of the Rolling Stones’ “Loving Cup.” He remained for Sleepy John Estes’ “Leaving Trunk” and Rahsaan Roland Kirk’s “Volunteered Slavery.” Subsequent highlights included the group’s own “Made Up Mind” as well as run from Aretha Franklin’s “It Ain’t Fair” into the Allman Brothers Band’s “Dreams.” The encore opened with a version of Dolly Partons’s “Wildflowers,” followed by “Got To Get Better In A Little While,” the Clapton composition from his Derek & the Dominos days, which the TTB also had premiered at Crossroads. Lee Roy Parnell appeared with the group in Nashville for the tune.

On Saturday, the band played another Clapton original from his Derek & the Dominos period with a guest guitarist. David Yoke joined the group for “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?” during the second set. The show also featured some songs that the band hadn’t performed in a little while. Midway into the opening frame the group revisited “Chevrolet,” the onetime Derek Trucks Band staple written by Ed and Lonnie Young, for the first time since 5/23/25. Gregg Allman’s “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’” appeared in the middle of the second set, as the Allman Brothers Band classic surfaced following a 145 show gap going back to 8/15/24. “Learn How to Love,” the TTB original from the band’s debut record, Revelator appeared after a 52 gig absence.

On Tuesday the Tedeschi Trucks Band will perform at Citizens Live at The Wylie in Pittsburgh, PA.
