Tea Leaf Green will celebrate Earth Day Weekend by hosting concerts for the Bay Areas Green Community at San Francisco’s Fillmore Auditorium on April 17 and 18. Friday night, the California Student Sustainability Coalition a project of the Earth Island Institute that is transforming the operations of higher education institutions will be joined at the venue by Conservation Value Institute, a group that is organizing the bands Earth Day initiative as part of its Music Industry Partnerships education program. Saturday night, ChangeSF a community campaign for the sustainable transformation of San Francisco will hold court in the room with HeadCount, who will be promoting its new partnership with Save The Bay. Both nights will also feature guest opening acts: indie-newgrass band Or, the Whale will open the show on the main stage and guitarist Sean Leahy will play the poster room Friday, while Seattle jamband Flowmotion will provide direct support for Tea Leaf Green and Oregons Freedom Tribe will perform in the poster room on Saturday. The shows will kick off a busy run for Tea Leaf Green that will include stops at such festivals as Mountain Jam, High Sierra, All Good, and 10,000 Lakes.
