On Thursday, May 28, The String Cheese Incident opened their Just Keep Spinning Tour at Stable Hall in San Antonio, Texas. Night one presented a two-set offering that integrated an array of material, brushing against their earliest release and unveiling their latest. During the latter half of set one, the band introduced the new number “The Lightning Sky” into their live repertoire, marking a debut led by Keith Moseley.

Last night’s show began with the band making their way through the crowd with shakers and tambourines prior to the concert’s official launch via “Miss Brown’s Teahouse.” The group turned out “Can’t Wait Another Day,” “Dudley’s Kitchen” and the Kyle Hollingsworth-penned “The Way That It Goes.” The ensemble delivered a first-time take on “The Lightning Sky,” positioning it ahead of “Rollover” and a frame ending “Valley of the Jig.”

The latter half of the show opened with “Carnival” before the arrival of “All We Got” and “One Step Closer.” “Black Market” merged with “Jellyfish,” ahead of a final pairing: “Close Your Eyes” into “Desert Dawn.” Ultimately, the String Cheese Incident capped the occasion after providing their Lone Star State audience with a cover of “Midnight Moonlight.”

The band will remain in Texas through the weekend, with follow-ups scheduled for tonight, May 29, at ACL Live at The Moody Theatre in Austin; May 30 at House of Blues Houston; and May 31 at Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater in Dallas. Tickets remain on sale.
