Victor Wootens solo tour continued last night with a performance at New Yorks BB King Blues Club. The show took place on a night off from the Allman Brothers Bands extended residency at the Beacon Theatre and, partway through the show, Wooten invited out his favorite bassist of all time Oteil Burbridge for a few songs. Wooten and Burbridge have toured the world together, including an appearance at the 2004 Jammy Awards. Soon after, Wooten brought out his prot Tal Wilkenfeld to lead the bass-heavy ensemble through The Chicken. In addition, Wooten welcomed three of his young children onstage to play a various points throughout the night. Wooten will perform at New Haven, CTs Toads Place tonight, while Burbridge will return to the Beacon for the Allman Brothers Bands 40th anniversary this evening.
