Next month trumpeter Willie Waldman will draw together some interesting groupings for six shows from the Willie Waldman Project. On November 1 and 2 in Minnesota, Waldman will be joined by the moe. drumming tandem of Vinnie Amico and Jim Loughlin. Waldman will follow these up with two additional trio gigs in the Land of 10000 Lakes on November 4 and 5 with Big Wu bassist Andy Miller as well as Mike Grundhoefer. Then, Waldman will migrate to the Northeast for a show on November 7 at New York City’s Jazz Standard with Amico and Particle’s Steve Molitz followed by a performance in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania’s River Street Jazz Cafe on November 8, in which he will bring things full circle by bringing out Amico and Loughlin.
