The Fifth Annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party will take place in New Yorks Madison Square Park from June 9-10. The day long event pledges to bring Americas food and Americas music to the heart of New York by offering a number of free performances and fresh meats. Saturdays festivities will kick off at noon with a set by the Budos Band, followed by performances from Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens, Binky Griptite and James Blood Ulmer. Sundays music will also begin at noon, with the Rob Ryan Band, Prisoners of 2nd Avenue, Ryan Shaw and JJ Grey & MOFRO scheduled to play throughout the day.
